CANADIAN
CHAMPIONSHIPS 2025
WRESTLING
Canadian Wrestling Championships 2025
What an incredible experience at this year’s Freestyle and Greco Nationals! Our athletes from Grande Prairie brought their heart, hustle, and determination to the mats, representing our city and community with pride. A huge thank you goes out to our dedicated coaches, supporters, and families who helped make it all possible.

As for that podium?
We’re proud to say we let someone else borrow it this year...but don't get too comfortable. Next year, the National Championships are coming to GRANDE PRAIRIE!
We’re not just hosting. With the home crowd behind us, the familiar mats under our feet, our Northern Rural team is motivated more than ever. We’re ready to make some serious noise in 2026.

Across both Freestyle and Greco, it was a privilege to watch competitors from across the country battle for their provinces with grit and determination, showing everyone just how tough, talented, and passionate Canadian athletes are.
Stay tuned for updates as we get ready to roll out the mats (and hopefully melt the snow) for all you two-month winter provinces.
GRANDE PRAIRIE WRESTLING CLUB

Welcome to GP Wrestling Club, where champions are made!
Our club has a history of producing National Champions, Pan-American medallists, and world-class contenders.
But why choose wrestling as your sport of choice?

Wrestling is more than just a sport; it's a transformative experience that brings positivity to competitors. Wrestling teaches self-control, mental grit, hard work, integrity and fair play. Wrestling also teaches respect for self, your team, your opponents and the officials.

It is our belief that wrestling teaches us how to approach life.
At GP Wrestling Club, inclusivity is our core value. We maintain a strict anti-bullying policy and unwaveringly enforce respect for all our athletes, regardless of age, sex, gender, ethnicity, race, religion, or any other potential source of discrimination.

In the world of wrestling, every athlete competes in their respective weight class. This ensures a very fair competition, where every athlete has an equal opportunity to be successful.
